Levi's Baptism

On Sunday night we were sitting around the table drinking our nightly "strong man" smoothie when Levi asked, "Mamita, when Jesus comes back from heaven for us...is he going to baptize us?"

Not sure where he was going with this I asked for clarification, "What do you mean baptize us?"

"Like baptize us in the water."

"Well, no because that is something people do when they decide to follow Jesus."

"Have you and Papito been baptized?"

"Yes."

(Then came the where and when questions...followed by their explanation.)

"How come I haven't been baptized?"

"You've never asked before."

"I want to be baptized tomorrow!"

"Why don't you go take a bath first, and we'll talk about it with Papito a little later."

I figured that if he were serious, he wouldn't forget.  Sure enough, first thing in the morning.  "Can I be baptized today?"

I told him we needed to talk about it all together when Papito came home to make sure he understood what it meant to be baptized because it was a serious commitment.
